Associate Ministers

Men and Women called by God to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ. Assist the Senior Pastor in the work of the church.
Requirement: Participation by appointment

Deacons Ministry

Men appointed by the Senior Pastor to service the needs of the church through governing and spiritual leadership. They assist with baptism and serving communion.

Requirement: Participation by appointment
Meets: 1st Saturdays at 10:00 AM

Trustee Ministry

Appointed by the Senior Pastor to serve the needs of the church. Responsible for the financial, legal and physical affairs of the church.
Requirement: Participation by appointment
Meets: Bi-monthly Mondays at 7:00 PM

Christian Education Ministry

The mission of this ministry is to develop Biblical and Christian curricula to meet the needs of the congregation and local community through Sunday Church School and Bible Institute platforms.

Sunday School

Bible Institute
Requirement: Open to youth and adults
Meets: Wednesdays at 7:00 PM

Higher Education
Provides information to persons seeking to further their knowledge at institutions of higher learning. This ministry also leads in activities that help to raise funds for scholarships.

Tutoring
Provides one-on-one academic and spiritual support to students of all ages in a
variety of subjects.

New Members Ministry

This ministry helps new members to understand their salvation, the teachings of Jesus, the structure and role of leadership within the PRBC, and its ministries. The ministry also teaches the importance of participating in Christian education and connecting with a ministry to cultivate spiritual growth.

Men’s Ministry (Men of Faith)

This ministry ministers to the needs of men through regular fellowships, conferences, retreats, services and other activities.
Requirement: Open to young adults and adults

Seniors Ministry

This ministry encourages seniors (ages 65 and above) to attend recreational outings and activities where critical information on community services is provided.

This ministry shares the message of Jesus Christ through dramatic productions with social consciousness.

Youth Ministry

Serves the church and surrounding community through a comprehensive and expanding ministry for children and young adults.
Gideon Chosen
This ministry addresses the spiritual, physical and development needs of young boys through counseling, fellowships, outings, games, exploration, etc.

Adoption/Foster Care

This Ministry provides an effective network of support for families who have or who are considering expanding their family through adoption or foster care.

Armor Bearer

This ministry is responsible for assisting Pastor during all services—in and outside of the church. Participation in this ministry is contingent upon meeting other criteria.
Requirement: Participation by appointment

Beautification

This ministry assists with maintaining appearance of the sanctuary and for orchestrating seasonal decorations.

Concierge

This ministry helps to ensure a welcoming atmosphere by greeting worshippers as they enter the church. They also collaborate with the New Members ministry to provide church-wide tours during new members orientation.

Courtesy

This ministry is responsible for providing the general welcome to visitors during Sunday morning services and other church services.

Culinary

This ministry is responsible for providing catering services for church related functions, as required. The ministry also participate in feed the hungry programs, deliver meals on wheels, and assist with purchasing food. Certification may be required for certain duties.

Evangelism

This ministry serves the mission of the church by developing, coordinating and administering effective and comprehensive evangelism and outreach efforts.

Health

This ministry seeks to educate members about their overall health by providing activities, information and resources that address physical fitness and healthy lifestyle.

Nurses

Members of this ministry administer basic first aid to members, when needed, and serve the needs of Senior Pastor and other ministers during worship services.

International Outreach

This ministry seeks to educate the home-front about the need for and impact of foreign missions. They also develop and coordinate comprehensive programming to the support foreign countries.

Technology Ministry

This ministry is responsible for maintaining the network and all peripheral equipment, and software media.

Missionary

This ministry provides assistance and care to members of the church, local and national communities through such activities as ministering to individuals who are confined to homes, hospitals, jails, and nursing homes.

Parking/Security

This ministry’s objective is to assist worshippers with parking and to provide security for the building and grounds during church activities.

Pastor’s Aid

This ministry ministers to the spiritual needs of the Senior Pastor and First Lady.
Requirement: Participation by appointment

Transportation

This ministry provides members with transportation to and from church-related activities as needed.

Ushers

Serves as doorkeepers during church services, greets all who enter the church sanctuary, distributes bulletins, assists worshippers with seating, guides the congregation during the offering period.

Outreach

Meals on Wheels
Part of the Far Northeast Meals on Wheels Program
Requirement: Available during week day
Meets: Weekly delivery of meals to far northeast residents (Thursdays)

Feeding Ministry
PRBC is a member of a community of churches participating in a feeding consortium in Ward 7’s Far Northeast quadrant. The purpose of this ministry is to prepare and feed individuals a nutritious dinner all year long.
Requirement: Availability to serve during day and early evening hours
Meets: Monday – Friday during the months of April and September

Pilgrim Rest Baptist Therapeutic Services, Inc. (The Better Way program)
PRBTS is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization that utilizes and spiritual format to provide substance abuse treatment to individuals who struggle with drug and alcohol abuse and the desire to conquer their addiction.
Requirement: Desire to reclaim life from the ravages of addiction
Meets: Monday – Friday

Efforts (Employment For Former Offenders Receiving Treatment Services)
Purpose is to aid and support ex-offenders and recovering substance abusers to re-enter society through employment. EFFORTS is a 501(C) 3 organization.
